Senior buy-in and leadership action is vital to the success of anchor work - but what exactly does it mean to lead an anchor mission effectively?

This online event on 24th January, explored the building blocks of anchor leadership at different levels, roles and across health organisations.

We will heard from Lord Victor Adebowale CBE (Chair of the NHS Confederation), Dame Jackie Daniel (CEO at Newcastle Hospitals) and Salma Yaqoob (Director for Health Inequalities, Birmingham ICS Program).

The event recording is for anyone working on implementing or leading a health anchor initiative. We explored questions such as:

What does it mean to lead anchor work effectively? How might leadership qualities be different for someone at the helm of an anchor strategy? What examples are there of effective leadership structures and what can we learn from these? What is the relationship between assigned leaders and the shared accountability across an organisation required to build an anchor movement? What are the different entry points in which leaders can begin to drive and implement an anchor strategy?
