What can the NHS learn from Housing Associations on economic development in place?

Our final event in the series focusing on what the NHS can learn from housing will shine a spotlight on economic development.

Like the NHS, housing associations make a huge contribution to local economies, and play a significant role in economic development. From construction and building homes, through to supporting local enterprise growth and business start-ups, housing associations blend economic development with wider social development to deliver major local regeneration and support thriving communities. We will explore some of the ways social landlords have achieved this, and what the NHS can do when working in partnership with others.

Chair: Andrew van Doorn, Chief Executive of HACT and NED at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust

Key Speaker: Babu Bhattacherjee, Director of Communities and Neighbourhoods at Poplar HARCA
