Where next for anchor work? Maximising impact in a changing landscape

Over the past year, we’ve seen major changes announced to the structure of the NHS and local government in England, with significant implications for how anchor work is led and delivered across local systems. Policy developments such as Scotland’s Community Wealth Building Bill, Wales’s Foundational Economy Programme, and the Government’s 10 Year Health Plan have created a fertile environment for anchor work, but how will this prevail amid the new structures emerging across the UK?

With so much change underway - and as we enter our sixth year of the Health Anchor Learning Network - this webinar will be an opportunity to take stock. Together, we’ll reflect on the impact achieved across the last five years of anchor work, and look ahead to ask: Where are the biggest opportunities for anchor approaches to deliver impact over the next five years?

This interactive session will offer space to pause, reflect on progress, and explore the future role of anchor approaches with peers from across the UK. You’ll hear insights from our senior associate Julia Slay, and Michael Wood Head of Health Economic Partnerships at the NHS Confederation, with more speakers to be announced.

This webinar is for anyone currently involved in anchor work - or looking to get started - and who wants to navigate and shape impact in a rapidly changing landscape. We hope you can join us!
